The Red Egg Takes Flight

Some news arrives quietly.
This was not that kind of news.
When Lynn’s Tupi and the Red Dragon Egg became available, the excitement was grand. The urge to call everyone, send pictures, and announce it to the world was very real.

I can easily picture Tupi, five years old and full of hatchery-day energy, jumping on the bed and trying to explain to everyone within earshot that something extraordinary has happened.
And somewhere, three thousand years later, I imagine Anna watching.
